 Mission of my education & research |
| Infrastructure such as transport is inevitable for our daily lives. We, human, have introduced many kinds of infrastructure for a long time. Do you think our infrastructure system is sufficient? How is its quality? I believe we can use the current infrastructure system more efficient with "tiny" ideas. Of course, it is necessary to replace it continuously. Fuctions of infrastructure system will change in aging and depopulating society. I believe that we need to add more infrastructure system for ever. My mission and dream are to propose better instastructure system in Japan and Asian region toward 2020 or 2030 for making our society competitive in the world. |

| Deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems(ITS) into Cities/Regions |
| ITS is expected as the core technology for safer and more efficient operation of transport systems. However, ITS has been unable to solve regional problems dramatically due to misunderstanding of regional needs. We would like to propose the starategies and technologies required for deploying ITS into cities and regions. |

| We are stocking know-hows for transport planning process in several regions and cities. |
| Sustainable Regional and Urban Structure and Transport System |
| We are facing strong social needs for reducing the emission of global warming gases from transport system and regional settlement. Asia is the most important player in the world because of its huge population. We consider an appropriate reagional/uaban form and its transport system for making more sustainable society. |
| Market Analysis and Regional Promotion Procedure in Tourism |
| Tourism industry has become important industry for regional ecomony. However,
this is ealily affected by economic situation and value judgement. Data
for tourism market analysis are well developed. Promotion activities tend
to be implemented by experience and "sense". We try to develop
framework for tourism research. |
